meet the designer

Hi, I’m Whitney, the designer behind Tulip & Mint.

I create invitations and paper goods for the modern, romantic, and boho souls who have a passion for creativity. My goal is to help bring your vision to life and tell your story through custom pieces that leave you feeling happy and excited for your special event!

For as long as I can remember I’ve been creating all kinds of things, had a love for art and design (I have a graphic design degree from the University of Iowa and a background in design and marketing) and for celebrating life’s happiest moments.

I grew up in a small town in Iowa surrounded by a family of creatives—we dabbled in everything from painting to singing to designing flowers, even photography! When I’m not designing, you can find me running around with my kids, at a coffee shop with a latte, shopping a cute little boutique or exploring a new hiking spot (tall trees, the mountains, and water—I’ll take it all!). I value living simply, but with ideas that never end.

My most cherished time is spent with my husband Grant and three crazy kids (Nyle, Landry and Maddox). Oh, and if you ask me to go for Mexican and a Marg? I’ll never say no.

After planning my own wedding

and working alongside another wedding stationer, I quickly fell in love with the industry and the tangible, beautiful details that come with it. I can’t deny my obsession for handmade paper and calligraphy—it’s so beautiful. And having seen and experienced the process firsthand, I became inspired to pursue my own stationery business. Now? I absolutely love what I do!

inspiration

Having a purpose and a why (my children). The sunshine, natural light, beauty in my surroundings, an eye- catching photograph, flowers, traveling…and some days, I just need a little peacefulness in a cute coffee shop :)
